This will be a hodgepodge of things going on in my life right now.
Monday night into Tuesday, I was almost asleep when my son came running into the room saying there was a fire on the street next to us. I've lived in this neighborhood my entire life since I only moved 2 streets from my parents. I grabbed my robe and some sandals and we went running outside. The flames were like those you'd see in a movie shooting high and furious all over the top of the house. This particular house had just sold and when hubby and I walk we'd see them working on making renovations. Just the other night during the Steeler game they were painting. They were scheduled to move in today. Instead the house is destroyed. It's very scary to stand and watch a fire in your own neighborhood. It was close to 3 am until I got to sleep. Here is a video that was on our local news channel 4: http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/news/21146251/detail.html
Another event going on was a pleasant surprise when I looked at my email today and saw that I'd won a stamp set from Gina K Designs. Gina has been previewing the kits showing us cards she's made and then directing us to the blogs of the designers. I won the fantastic kit called Lord of the Season by Nina Brackett. I just fell in love with the saying Gina used on her card. You can see Gina's blog HERE. The set will be released on Oct. 1st.
Last night then was also weigh in. I lost 1.8 pounds this past week for a total now of 107.6 or .8. For the life of me right now, I can't recall. LOL I was excited since I've not been having losses like that for a while now. I got a nice bravo sticker too for sharing my story from Saturday. Hubby and I had gone shopping Friday night at Kohl's and I got a lot of really good bargains. Included was a pair of new jeans which I wore to my niece's soccer game on Saturday. My youngest sister looked at me and told me that I looked "small." Well, I think I floated through the rest of the day. While I'm far from small, no one has ever said that to me again and it made me feel really good. Needless to say, those are now going to be my favorite jeans!
I did call the doctor on Monday for my test results, and my potassium levels are good. Very good actually. She asked why I felt they might be low and when I told her my symptoms, she wondered if I was running a fever or had any flu symptoms. NO, thank goodness! We discussed that she'd had a bus driver test positive for the flu that day so she wants me to get the flu shot as soon as possible. She's going to call me with the date it will be in their office, which is about 2 weeks.
I had one other big thing but I think I'll save that for another time since I'm pretty tired tonight and ready to get into my jammies. My son is bringing a new book home from work for me and I'm anxious to get my hands on it. :-)
Anyone out there want to tell me how YOU are? :-)

HI Denise, that is so sad about your neighbors. Our neighbors house caught on fire on 4th of July when some other neighbors were playing illegally with fire works.
Congrats on your weight loss!
Sorry you are so tired. I am too and really worried about it lately. Hope you feel better soon!!
