A Pittsburgh Place

Last spring we went to the National Aviary in Pittsburgh and it's a trip that has stayed with me and I highly recommend it to everyone I know any time they are looking for somewhere to go. The day we went we were able to take our time and look at the exhibits, sit and listen to one of the staff discuss some of the wildlife, go through the tropical forest (watch out for bird poop which gets you a special button.....which I'd rather not have....lol), and we were even able to go to a class about penguins and see one up close. It was a wonderful day and one I'd highly recommend. There is a gift shop on site and outside they had a big tent set up with tables and chairs where we could eat our bag lunch. Take the time to visit this wonderful facility.
