Stamping Boutique

Last night I was able to attend a Grand Opening party for Stamping Boutique. I love using digital images and was glad I could finally go to one of these parties. Below is my creation. The picture isn't as clear as I'd like because my hand kept shaking but this was the best out of the ones I took. I really enjoyed working on this and got to try out my brand new Cuttlebug.

Go and visit the Stamping Boutique site, because they have some really cute images.

For this card I used the Stamping Boutique image by Tracey

  1. Stampin Up Pink Passion cardstock(I think)
  2. Stampin Up black cardstock
    Cuttlebug embossing folder
  3. Stampin Up ribbon
  4. Blue Stickels
  5. Misc hello stamp and stars in my collection
  6. Stampin Up watercolors and blending pencil

Whimsie Doodles Winner

Imagine my surprise as I was going through my blog list today reading blogs (YES, I do try to read all your updates daily even if I don't always comment) and went to the Whimsie Doodles blog and found out I'd won! Melyssa had been previewing her new digi stamps this past week(adorable by the way) and one thing you might have figured out about me is that my interests are all over the place. I like the simplicity of being able to use a digi stamp from making it the size I need to just printing it out and having it look good. That is, if I do a good job coloring it in. LOL But I do enjoy coloring them in.

So here's a view of the stamp set I won. Go on over to her BLOG and see the other new sets she has just released. The store info is then found on her blog. A big thank you to Melyssa for choosing me.

Thank You

I've said it before and I know me and I'll say it many more times.....I have the best friends a girl could want. My friends are EXTREMELY important to me. I was blessed in more ways than I can ever express that some how, some way Judi reached into my head and I saw the success she was having with Weight Watchers and it motivated me to do something. Needless to say, I owe her big time. Along the way of losing weight she's offered encouragement and support beyond belief. She's also given me clothes that you can't even imagine so that I had to buy minimal things as I was losing because I was so fortunate. But even more important I think has become the close friendship we've formed in this past year. Whether it be a text, an email, a phone call or a visit, I know I can count on her for ANYTHING! When it was time for my son's graduation party I honestly do not know what I'd have done without her. She was a complete godsend keeping me balanced. Even my hubby noticed that I didn't get all frazzled because she was here helping. I'm not good with words so I can't even begin to express what she means to me. She leaves for 10 days to Alaska tomorrow and I can tell you it will be a long 10 days for me!
OK...enough sappy stuff!

Recently I showed you one thank you card I'd made for my good friend Carol. I couldn't show you the other one I made because I know Judi reads my blog. LOL I FINALLY got the other one done I wanted to do for her so thought I'd show them off. Nothing fancy but definitely me.

This was the 1st card I made Judi.

It's a digital image from Elizabeth Dulemba. Colored with my SU watercolor pencils. The buttons, ribbon and cardstock were all misc. things I've picked up.

This is the 2nd card.

Made using my Cricut and one of my new cartridges. (Simply Sweet)

Used a SU stamp to put the background on the side.

Paper was misc cardstock and the yellow was from a DCWC pack.

Sugar Nellie Diane Duda Blog Hop

I can't tell you how excited I've been to be able to receive one of the stamps coming out from a local Pittsburgh artist who's work I've just grown to love. Sugar Nellie is releasing the Diane Duda stamps at Funkykits. I've ordered from Funkykits before and they are wonderful to deal with (see post from yesterday with my lucky bag stamps.)

Anyhow, on to the important stuff. I'm a newbie stamper so keep that in mind please. My stamp is named BASHFUL and I just am taken with how many things I could dream up her saying. I colored a few in even though I'm only showing one card and each time I was able to find a new way to show off the artistry of Diane.
My card was colored with SU waterpencils.
I used a variety of papers, my new Cricut for the frame,
flowers, ribbon and gems were misc. items I have stored.
I'm the end of the line in this blog hop, but if you missed any blogs,
go to Sugar Nellie for the complete list of blogs on our hop.
I can't wait to see the other new stamps!
A special THANKS to Karen for sending me the stamp.

Lucky Bag

Sugar Nellie had "Lucky Bags" on her Funkykits site for sale recently and I just love her stamps so had to have one.

Here's what I received in my grab bag of goodies.
